Our Management Committee

Our Management Committee is made up, and elected from, our Membership. The Committee can have up to 18 members, and they are responsible for the overall management of the affairs of the association. We are a complicated organisation, and in order to get through all our work, the Management Committee is supported by six Sub-Committees, and we also have a network of Area Committees.   The Management Committee structure is shown below.

We work accross a number of communities, and each are part of how we consult with our customers and how we make decisons. The chart below shows the areas that are part of our decison making process.

Would you like to volunteer for a Committee?

Here is some information about volunteering for a Thenew Housing Association committee:

  • You must be a member of the association.
  • We contact our members in advance and invite nominations.
  • Elections take place at our Annual General Meeting, (AGM).
  • Only association members can vote at the AGM.
  • Committees meet usually two months out of three.
  • Committee members must adhere to a code of conduct which sets out the standards expected of them.
  • Our committee members are supported through training.
