Struggling to make your Payments?
Anyone can have trouble paying bills from time to time. If you are having difficulty paying your rent, you must let us know immediately. We will do our best to help you.
If you have a problem paying, or you have received a letter from us about your rent, you should contact your Area Office immediately. We can give you advice and help you to apply for benefits. If you are unable to pay us the amount you owe in full, we can make an agreement with you on how you can pay it off gradually, at an amount you can afford.
It is very important that you contact us as soon as you know that you are having difficulties. The longer you leave it, the more difficult it is for us to help you sort it out. Remember, if you fail to make payments agreed with you and your arrears are high, we can take legal action against you which could lead to you losing your home. That is why it is really important that you come and talk to us about any difficulties you are having so that we can try to help.
