Right to Buy

On 30 September 2002 the Scottish Secure Tenancy came into force.  It replaced the previous secure and assured tenancies which applied to all our tenants.  The Scottish Secure Tenancy provides a single, common tenancy for virtually all our tenants and brought with it quite significant changes to the Right to Buy.  If you are one of our tenants you may have the legal right to buy your home at discount.  However, the precise details of your right to buy will be determined by the particular circumstances of your tenancy including when your tenancy started.   Our website aims to give advice on buying your home under the Right to Buy, however it is not a complete and authoritative statement of the law.  Click here for our information and advice on Right to Buy.

If you have any questions about your own case, contact us and we can give you specific information that relates directly to you.
